Sri Gouranga Prema Yuga Acarya His Divine Grace Srila Gour Govinda Swami Srila Gurudeva made his appearance into an ancient Oriya Vaishnava family famed for their devotional kirtans. He grew up surrounded by devotees, worshipping Sri Sri Radha Gopaljiu, chanting the holy names and reading Srimad Bhagavatam. Later in life, after becoming a wandering sadhu, he met Iskcon\u2019s Founder-Acarya His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada and instantly surrendered at his lotus feet, recognizing him to be the topmost of Lord Krishna\u2019s dear devotees. Srila Prabhupada offered to award Maharaja the order of sannyasa at their first meeting and later himself later commented about his disciple Sri Gouranga Prema Yuga Acarya His Divine Grace Srila Gour Govinda Swami Srila Gurudeva, stating that \u2018Krishna has sent him\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sri Gouranga Prema Yuga Acarya His Divine Grace Srila Gour Govinda Swami Srila Gurudeva fully dedicated his life to fulfilling his revered Guru Maharaja\u2019s instructions \u2013 vigorously preaching the Gaudiya Siddhanta around the world; translating Srila Prabhupada\u2019s books from English into the Oriya language, also preaching widely throughout Orissa State: and building the stunning Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Temple in Bhubaneswar. Following Srila Prabhupada\u2019s orders he also travelled the world preaching the message of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and accepted disciples, continuing the line of Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada and Srila A.C. Disciplic Succession<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sri Gouranga Prema Yuga Acarya His Divine Grace Srila Gour Govinda Swami\u00a0Srila\u00a0Gurudeva is in the line of an ancient disciplic succession going back to Lord Krishna called the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradaya. His spiritual master Yuga Dharma Acarya His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhakti Vedanta Swami\u00a0Srila\u00a0Prabhupada is the Founder Acharya of ISKCON, the International Society of Krishna Consciousness. The temple in Bhubaneswar, which was the given responsibility by his spiritual master was the latest founded temple by Srila Prabhupada. Srila Pabhupada founded 108 temple, nowadays ISKCON has more than 650 temples and centers worldwide.
